Kukama Africa Safaris is based on a privately owned 1,200-hectare farm set within the greater Waterberg region. Hunting takes place across this property as well as on carefully selected surrounding concessions, offering varied terrain, vegetation, and game. These combined areas provide the space and diversity needed for a true African safari experience.

The lodge is situated on the farm itself and serves as the central base for guests during their stay. It can accommodate up to 8 guests at a time, offering a comfortable and relaxed environment to unwind after a day in the bush.

In addition to hunting, the farm and surrounding area offer a variety of activities. Guests can enjoy birdwatching, walking and hiking trails, Big 5 game drives and time spent exploring the Waterberg landscape at a slower pace.

The Waterberg Biosphere is a UNESCO protected region recognised for its ecological importance and conservation value. It plays a vital role in preserving natural habitats, wildlife populations, and sustainable land use within the area.
The landscape is defined by rugged sandstone formations, rolling plateaus, and open bushveld. These varied terrains create diverse habitats and contribute to the character and beauty of the region.
The Waterberg supports a wide range of wildlife species alongside rich indigenous plant life. This diversity makes the region a vital ecosystem and an exceptional area for both wildlife and birdlife.

For many, The Great African Safari has lived in stories and quiet daydreams. The moment has come to experience it for yourself, to feel the African soil under your feet and the rhythm of the bush, we invite you to get in touch.
